Description
The R-R-S Exothermic Welding Mould manufactured by SG Power Products Pvt. Ltd. is a "Straight" Type mould used for Earth Grid Rod to Earth Grid Rod connection. It produces a straight in-line connection by exothermic welding, forming a permanent molecular bond between the rods without any external power source or mechanical connector.
The mould is machined from Graphite, which withstands the heat of the reaction and holds an accurate cavity shot after shot. It accepts a rod dia of 12 mm to 32 mm, covering the earth rod sizes normally used on site.
Each mould delivers Approx 40-60 Joints per Mould when cleaned and pre-heated correctly between welds. The joint is made for Exothermic Welding Joints for Earthings and complies with IEEE 837, NBC 2016, giving a connection that carries full fault current, will not loosen, and does not corrode over the life of the installation.
