Description
The C-S-T Exothermic Welding Mould manufactured by SG Power Products Pvt. Ltd. is a "T" (Riser) Type mould used for Earth Grid Conductor (Cable) to Strip (Riser) connection. It produces a tee riser connection by exothermic welding, forming a permanent molecular bond between the cable and the strip without any external power source or mechanical connector.
The mould is machined from Graphite, which withstands the heat of the reaction and holds an accurate cavity shot after shot. It accepts a cable of 35 sqmm to 300 sqmm and a strip of 20x3 mm to 75x10 mm, covering the earth grid conductor and riser sizes normally used on site.
Each mould delivers Approx 40-60 Joints per Mold when cleaned and pre-heated correctly between welds. The joint is made for Exothermic Welding Joints for Earthings and complies with IEEE 837, NBC 2016, giving a connection that carries full fault current, will not loosen, and does not corrode over the life of the installation.
